Become a truck driver? We'd love to help you with that! Claassen works together with the Transport and Logistics Sector Institute (STL) to train you to become a truck driver. This is possible if you are still in school and are following a BBL driver training program. But it is also possible if you already have another profession and want to be retrained. This is also called the lateral entry route.
If you follow the BBL driver training program, you will work at Claassen four days a week and attend school one day a week. You will participate fully in the team and learn everything about the profession from your practical supervisor. During your training you will of course be paid a salary, exactly how much depends on your age.
Retraining yourself as a truck driver takes as little as 3 months. The training begins with a test day at STL. This is how you find out if you are suitable for the profession of driver. We look at your driving skills, IQ and your responsiveness is tested.
If that works out positively, you can start training. If you pass your CE driving test, we will give you a year's contract for at least 32 hours a week. A mutual click is very important, because as a family business we always go for the long term.
Do you enjoy being on the road and working independently? And would you like to train as a truck driver, through regular entry or side entry? Or do you have any questions? Let us know.
Claassen gets your career moving.
